Fionnathan is Jonathan Angus and Fionn Crombie-Angus, an Irish father and son team whose mission is to have fun and change the world, to trouble your understanding of ability, to reveal superstars in our midst, and to prove that, in fact, we are the people we’ve been waiting for.

They share stories of audacious creativity and abiding optimism, opening one heart at a time. Through music, live presentations, videos, and visual arts, they seek to collaborate with diverse people who are passionate about what they do.

The Bibliothèque Lennoxville Library is delighted to welcome them to Lennoxville !

They will be offering two programs to the community on Wednesday, March 4th.

Wildlife around the World: program for kids and families

Wednesday, March 4th 10:30am-11:45am

Jonathan Angus and Fionn Crombie-Angus are an Irish father and son team who have had some amazing adventures: on safari in Tanzania; exploring rainforests in the Amazon, Malaysia, and Hawaii; trekking the mountains of China and North America and the Saharan and Arabian deserts.

They’ve contributed to conservation efforts to help sea turtles in Zanzibar, grizzly bears in the Pacific Northwest, flying fox bats in Australia, and corals of the Great Barrier Reef.

They are visiting Sherbrooke and will join us to compare the unique wildlife of  our children’s own immediate environment with those of very different environments.

Please consider a suggested donation of $5 per person to help Fionnathan defray their travel costs and to support their work.

Meet Fionnathan ! program for adults

Wednesday, March 4th 1:30-3:00 pm

When it comes to envisioning a great life, Fionn Crombie-Angus and Jonathan Angus are world-class imagineers. If life gives them lemons, they teach themselves how to juggle, and then make lemon meringue pie, and share some with the neighbours.

Living on the west coast of Ireland, this son and father team operate the country’s first government funded, self-managed support project for someone with learning delay. (Fionn, who has Down syndrome, is the manager, and Jonathan, his employee.)

Come hear them speak about some amazing adventures: on safari in Tanzania; exploring rainforests in the Amazon, Malaysia, and Hawaii; trekking the mountains of China and North America and the Saharan and Arabian deserts.

They’ve contributed to conservation efforts to help sea turtles in Zanzibar, grizzly bears in the Pacific Northwest, flying fox bats in Australia, and corals of the Great Barrier Reef.

And they will be happy to tell us some jokes and bring out their instruments (fiddle and guitar) to play a short set of Irish traditional music.

Please consider a suggested donation of $5 per person to help Fionnathan defray their travel costs and to support their work.
