How do I request library items for pick-up via contactless service?

There are 3 ways to place your orders:

  • Request the items directly from our online catalogue. See below for details.
  • Call the library. Leave a message if we don’t answer: 819-562-4949
  • Email the library.

Instructions for requesting directly from the online catalogue:

1-Access our online catalog here:

2- Log in to access your account by clicking “mon dossier d’usager” on the top right of the page

Your USERNAME is your Library Card number

Example: MEM123456

Your PASSWORD is the first letter of your last name + the last 4 digits of your Library Card

Example: B3456

Don’t remember your library card number ? Contact us via réponse à tout, or simply call the library.

3- In the drop down menu to the left of the search bar, make sure to select “Lennoxville” so that you are only searching the collections of the Bibliothèque Lennoxville Library.

4- Enter your search terms in the search field and click “search” You can search by author, title, or subject. 

5- When you have the results of your search, make sure to select “Lennoxville” one more time from the list of libraries found in the menu on the left hand of the results page. This will ensure that you are only seeing items from our library. If you wish to narrow down the results of your search, you may use the options on the left hand side of the results page.

6- When you’ve found the item you want, click the “place hold” button to the right of the title.

7- Make sure to select “Lennoxville” as your pickup library.

8- You will receive an automatic email informing you when the item is available. If you wish to pick the item up at the library entrance, please contact the library to arrange a time.  Users who have not provided an email address will receive a phone call when the item is available.

Note : 

  • Users who don’t have access to the online catalog may call the library at 819-562-4949 to place their requests.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pick up my items after I’ve requested them?

You will receive an automatic email to inform you that your items are ready to pick up. (Users who have not provided an email address will receive a phone call). At that point you may simply come to the library any time during our open hours.

How do I return items I’ve borrowed?

All users may leave items to be returned in the book drop outside the front door of the library any time. There is also a return box inside the library for use during library open hours.

Can I borrow DVDs? How do I pay for my DVD checkouts?

Yes. You may request DVDs the same way you would request any other library item. Note that we will only accept payment in cash ($2 per film, maximum 5 films at a time; $5 per TV series, maximum of 2 seasons at a time).

You may also purchase a $15 “all you can watch” card which allows you to check out as many films as you wish in a 4 week period (subject to the normal loan rules).

What about interlibrary loan items?

You may place your own request by logging in to ZPortal, the province-wide interlibrary loan catalogue at the following link :, or you may simply contact the library to have us place your request.

I don’t currently have a library membership,  but I’d like to get one. How to do I do so?

New memberships can be made online (Access the sign up form here), or in-person at the library. Please bring photo ID and proof of address.
