Position Details
- Start date: June 2026 (flexible)
- End date: August 30, 2026
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Variable schedule depending on activities
- Availability required Saturdays (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
- Wage: $21.50 /hour
- Deadline: Until the position is filled

Your Role
Working under the supervision of the Library Coordinator, you will:
- Plan, organize, promote, and lead children’s activities
- Run the Summer Reading Club and weekly storytimes
- Offer activities in both English and French
- Represent the library at community events
- Lead activities at the library and at
L’Espace Biblio @ Square Queen (Lennoxville Farmers’ Market, Saturday mornings)
Activities may include crafts, storytelling, educational games, reading groups, and more—based on your interests and strengths.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant training or experience (teaching, recreation, cultural programming, etc.)
- Creativity and initiative
- Confidence working with groups of children
- Ability to foster curiosity and engagement
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication in English and French
- Interest in children’s literature and reading promotion
- Interest in public library services
- Independence, versatility, and reliability
- Interest in outdoor activities
- Comfort with digital tools (e.g., Canva)

Applicants must:
- Be under 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada
