As a registered charity, The library relies on your generosity to maintain a personalized bilingual service, to expand its collections and to continue to offer a range of cultural activities to the entire population. Every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated!
Help us meet our fundraising goals for 2024.
Did you know that the library has over 1500 members? Last year, 74 of them made a donation to the library. That’s about 5% of our total membership..
Our goal this year is to get to 10%.
That would mean 150 library members chipping in to support our mission!
Here are three ways you can support your library:
Adopt-a-book
First, choose a book from our new book displays at the library, or from the new book lists on our website..
Then, make a donation in cash, or by cheque or debit card to cover the book’s retail price. (Typically between $20 and $45).
We will inscribe your name, or the name of a person you wish to honor, on a bookplate inside the book, and issue a tax receipt for your donation.
Supporting Membership
You can also make an annual donation to the library at whatever amount suits your budget. Pay by cash, cheque, or debit next time you are at the library, or right now via the Canada Helps.
Business/Organization Donations
If you are the owner or representative of a business or organization, you can make a donation in the name of your business. For every $30 donated, we will permanently inscribe your company or organization’s name inside the front cover of a book on our new book display. We will also acknowledge your donation on the library website, in the library newsletter, which is sent to over 1500 people each month, and post your name on the front door of the library. Donations can be made via Canada Helps, or at the library. Contact coordo.bibliolen@gmail.com for more information.
Also, please consider remembering the Library when you are estate planning.
Receipts for tax purposes will be issued for all donations above $20.
