Poetry Reading: Townships Poets from our ‘poem-a-day’ project

April is Poetry Month, and the Bibliothèque Lennoxville Library is proud to highlight local English language voices through its Poem-a-Day series, featuring poets from across the Townships. Explore a new poem each day throughout April:

Join us on Saturday, April 25 at 2:30 PM for An Afternoon with Townships Poets, a special live reading event bringing together contributors from the Poem-a-Day project. This is a chance to hear the poets behind the words—sharing their work aloud, in their own voices, and connecting with the community.
Come enjoy an inspiring afternoon of poetry in a warm, welcoming setting. All are welcome.

Essences citoyennes – The Living Ideas Book Club (French)

Reading to understand better, discussing to act better.
Essences citoyennes is a book club focused on environmental issues—a space for ongoing civic learning. It features thought-provoking readings on contemporary challenges, enriching discussions with invited guests, and an accessible approach that encourages community engagement.

This project is led by Coralie Beaumont, PhD candidate at Université de Sherbrooke. Her research explores biodiversity governance through communication and information studies. A former science journalist, she is passionate about connecting research with public dialogue.
